I tweeted this this on Twitter because I have learned about how important classroom management is to be an effective teacher. As a new teacher I feel that this resource link I posted with my tweet will benifit others as well as myself. I know that classroom management and classroom rules should be set up on the first day of school and followed though out the school year to ensure that things run smoothly. I am new to Twitter so this is only my second post but I envision myself to be a Twitter follower more than a Twitter poster. I hope to become a better Twitter poster who posts relavent information about teaching in today's world and helpful resources that I find helpful in my own classroom. I think Twitter is a great tool and hope to become a twiiter addict. I really enjoy the information that fellow colleagues post about relavent findings that they use in their classrooms or that they have experienced in their career.
PLN
PLN stands for personal learning network. PLN is a place I can keep important information and resources along with fellow educators blogs and ideas, they are kept all in one place. Having a place to be able to add things I find important and relevant makes life so much easier. I can follow and read all of the blogs I am interested in all in the same location, I don't have to go to individual blogs. It is a great place to collaborate with other educators and share ideas. I added to my PLN new and retired educators along with fellow classmates and friends. I believe haveing a PLN will help me in my career as a teacher giving me resources and a place I can go to read about things that are important in my field. Learning from other educators is so important and being able to share my own thoughts and ideas with my colleagues to get their opinions and reflections on what works or what doesn't will be beneficial for me throught out my teaching carreer.
Twitter Chat
The chat #CAedchat I decided to follow was on Sunday November 29, 2015 at 8:00 pm. The topic was "Programing with Elementary Students" teaching students to code was something I never had a clue on how to go about teaching it. I found this chat to be so interesting as I followed it. I was not sure at first how my experience was going to be but I was really impressed and learned a lot about coding and how so many teachers are incorporating it in their classrooms.
This was definitely something that I will partake in in the future. I also added to my Twitter some of the people who were posting and adding comments along with resources. I did not add any thoughts to the chat this time, I was just a lurker. I will join another chat and will get involved next time because I know how it flows and what questions to ask to learn more about the topics. My overall experience with chats was a positive one and I look forward to join more chats and learn how I can incorporate the information in my own classroom.

Pinterest
I just love Pinterest so much, I use it all the time to help me find meaningful lessons and projects. I have several boards but my most used is my educational board. When ever I am trying to plan an activity to do with my class I turn to Pinterest to look for great ideas. I think Pinterest is so awesome for anyone to use and connect with others who share the same interests. It is a great networking tool because the people I follow have the same interests as me. We can help fellow educators in our circle with useful information and ideas. I follow a lot of educators who have been teaching for many years and have a accumulated tons of resources for me to use and get ideas from. I also follow blogs on Pinterest that I can read and borrow ideas. It is great to be able to keep so many useful tools and ideas all in one place to make life so much easier. You don't have to go searching for ideas or try to remember what you saw you just have to pin it and save it to a board.
