The whole concept on flipping classrooms is new to me. I like the idea behind creating flipped lessons to give students a chance to take control of their own learning and allow teachers to become guides to their understanding as stated in "the Flipped Class Manifest". I love the idea of creating 5 minute tutorial videos that students can access if they need to be reminded of a previous concept or instruction. This allows the students who need to be reminded the chance to watch it and the ones who know it can move on.
I am looking forward to incorporating flipped lessons into my classroom. I do believe that flipping lessons may not work for all classrooms but adjusting to the needs of your students to create the best learning environment where students are activly engaged in the learning process is the key to being an effective teacher.
According to the article "The Flipped Ckassroom: Pro and Con" I believe a teacher knows her/his class the best and can decide what will or won't work for their students. Because not all students have access to technology at home this may be a concern to creating flipped lessons for some teachers. I do believe their are ways around helping students find access to technology.
Overall, after reading these 2 articles I think flipped classrooms are awesome if implemented right. They are a great way for students to take charge of heir own learning and work at a pace that is right for them. This allows students to get guidance from the teacher if they need it and the students who understand are able to move on.
